Investigations

 The Investigation Division may be assigned to assist patrol with several functions.  The Detective conducts follow up investigations and is commonly assigned more complex cases at the direction of the Chief of Police.  The Detectives job tasks may include;

•     Analyze crime scenes

• Secure and process evidence

• Review department case reports

• Prepare cases for criminal prosecution                                   

• Conduct interviews

• Assist with Search Warrants

• Criminal apprehension

• Missing persons investigations

• Narcotic investigations

• Fraud investigations
